The ball is served from the fright side of the court and is served underhand. The ball is served diagonally across the court.

Once the ball is served to the other side of the court, it is returned after the ball has bounced once. The serving side now has to let the ball bounce once before returning the ball.

As the ball has bounced on both sides once, now the ball can be returned from either side as a volley or can be returned after a bounce.

Points can only be scored by the serving side.

The serving side wins a point if the defending side could not return the ball, hits the ball outside the court lines, does not let the served ball bounce on the first serve, volleys in the non-volley zone, or is hit by the ball.

When one of the sides gets 11 points, with a 2-point lead.

When the serving side wins a point, the same person serves but has to serve from the other side of the court.

When a player losses a point, he does not serve the partner serves, and that too from the other side of the court not where he is standing at the moment.

If this service also fails to earn points, the opponents get to serve, they now serve from the right side of the court.

One more point to keep in mind is that, if playing singles, and if the player has an uneven number of points he serves from the left side of the court

Scoring format:- 1-0-1

this means the serving side has 1 point the other side or the opponent has no points and this is the first serve.
