The Denver Nuggets are based in Denver. They are part of the Western Conference Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Originally the team was founded as Denver Larks, but they changed the name to Denver Rockets and finally to Denver Nuggets.

Initially, they played for American Basketball Association (ABA) but joined NBA after ABA and NBA merger.

The Denver Nuggets play their home games at Ball Arena.

In this season it was the first meeting between the Nuggets and Grizzlies. After this win Nuggets claimed first place in the Western Conference.
