Best Coconut Chutney Recipe | Nariyal Ki Chutney

Cocunut Chutney popularly known as Nariyal ki chutney in Northen part on India, it is a famous and important ingredient of South Indian food. So lets prepare Coconut Chutney Recipe.

Nariyal ki Chutney is used with many popular breakfast like Idli, Dosa and many other snacks.

Many other variants of coconut chutney can be prepared by adding different ingradients.

Nariyal ki Chutney can be used as side dish in many South Indian and North Indian breakfast or main dishes.

Ingredients for Coconut Chutney Recipe

it is better to use fresh coconut for coconut chutney, but if fresh coconut is not available then we can soak dried coconut overnight in a bowl of water and use it for making Coconut Chutney the next morning.

  • 1/2 pcs. diced Coconut,
  • 1 bowl of roasted chickpeas,
  • 1/2 bowl of peanut,
  • 1/2 bowl curd,
  • some green curry leaves,
  • 1 bunch of green coriander leaves,
  • 4 pcs. Green Chili,
  • salt to taste.

Coconut Chutney Recipe Tadka Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil,
  • 2 pcs. dried red chili,
  • 1 teaspoon Black Mustard Seeds,
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds,
  • 1 pinch of red chili powder.

Coconut Chutney Recipe Preparation

  • add diced coconut and roasted chickpeas to grinder jar,
  • to this add peanuts,
  • broken green chili,
  • chopped green coriander leaves,
  • add curd,
  • curry leaves,
  • and salt to taste,
  • now grind this mixture to past,
  • take this mixture out in a bowl.

Our Coconut Chutney past is ready to this we will add tadka, so lets prepare the tadka for our delicious coconut chutney.

Tadka for Coconut Chutney

  • in tadka pan heat 1 tablespoon Mustard oil,
  • when hot add cumin seeds,
  • broken dried red chili,
  • black mustard seeds,
  • some curry leaves,
  • 1 pinch of red chili powder,
  • when hot our tadka is ready,

Add this tadka to the coconut chutney past by dipping the tadka pan in it and covering the bowl with a lid or a plate so that that aroma stays inside and enhance the taste and smell of our Coconut chutney.

this coconut chutney is very tasty and rich in iron. it can be used with many breakfasts and is mainly used with idli, dosa, uttapam and much more.
